An entire home rented out via Airbnb or Vrbo is a hospitality business. You no longer have a neighbor living next door to you. Instead, you have a house that is commercial operation as a hotel or worse, as an event center. Persistent empty houses destroy the fabric of a community and change the nature of that neighborhood forever.
